Naik Mukesh Singh Manhas, a 29-year-old soldier from Jammu and Kashmir's Samba, was killed in an IED blast carried out by terrorists near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu's Akhnoor sector. He was killed along with Captain Karamjit Singh Bakshi from Jharkhand's Ranchi.
